Mental Health Therapy
Therapy (or counseling) is a collaborative process where you work with a trained professional to explore thoughts, emotions, and experiences that may be impacting your well-being. At Utah Center for Psychological Services, we view therapy as a journey of self-discovery, growth, and healing. It’s a safe, supportive space where you can gain insight, develop coping strategies, and build the tools to navigate life’s challenges. Whether you’re facing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, or simply seeking greater self-understanding, therapy empowers you to take charge of your mental health and create meaningful, positive change in your life. Let’s embark on this transformative path together.
Our clinicians are trained in evidence-based therapy, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, Prolonged Exposure (PE), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) therapy. These modalities are well-researched and shown to be effective in treating depression, anxiety, trauma, personality disorders, and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). Current treatment providers include Russ MacKay and Meghan Semenick.
