Meet the Team
Dr. Meghan Semenick
received her degree as a Clinical Psychologist from Eastern Kentucky University and completed her residency as well as post doctorate training at Utah State Hospital. She specializes in clinical and forensic practice within psychology. Dr. Semenick is proficient in diagnostic assessment for children, adolescents, and adults for a variety of mental health disorders with specialties in behavioral, trauma, and personality disorders. Within forensic assessment, Dr. Semenick completes psychosexual, violence-risk, and parental fitness assessments.
Dr. Semenick also practices empirically-based trauma treatment for children, adolescents, and adults. Treatment modalities include trauma focused-cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), cognitive processing therapy (CPT), and prolonged exposure (PE). Dr. Semenick specializes in working with victims of interpersonal abuse and works to integrate family members into the treatment, as needed. Each method is standardized and requires work outside of the treatment session (e.g., completing worksheets). Manualized treatments typically take approximately 15 weeks, but can vary per patient needs.
